How we handle it

Our approach.

01

Seamless aluminum, cut on-site

We bring the gutter machine to your driveway and roll out continuous lengths for each side of your roof. No factory joints to leak.

02

Hidden hangers every 24 inches

Hidden hangers screw into the fascia, not nail-spike straight through. They hold longer and look cleaner.

03

Properly pitched

Quarter inch of fall per 10 feet to the downspout. Sounds small, makes the difference between gutters that drain and gutters that pond.

Gutter Installation in Marietta, GA

Gutters are the single most overlooked part of a house and the source of more secondary damage than almost any other system. Bad gutters lead to wet basements, rotted fascia, mold in the crawlspace, and foundation settlement. Good gutters do their job invisibly for 20 to 30 years. The difference is the install.

We install seamless aluminum gutters across Marietta, GA and Cobb County. Roll-formed on site to your roof's exact dimensions, hung with hidden hangers every 24 inches, and pitched correctly to drain.

What Goes Into a Real Gutter Installation

Site measurement and roof assessment

We measure every run, identify proper downspout locations, and verify the fascia is sound. If we find soft fascia, we'll let you know before install so you can decide whether to address it. Putting new gutters on rotten fascia is a waste of money.

Roll-formed seamless aluminum on site

Our truck has a continuous roll-forming machine that produces gutter to your exact length. Seamless means no joints in the middle of the run, which is where 80% of gutter leaks happen. The only joints are at corners and downspout outlets.

.032 aluminum (the heavier gauge)

We use .032 aluminum as our standard, not the .025 that some installers use to cut cost. The heavier gauge holds shape under snow load and ice, dents far less from falling debris, and lasts noticeably longer.

Hidden hangers every 24 inches

Hidden hangers are screwed through the gutter and into the fascia behind it, with the screw concealed inside the gutter. We install at 24 inches on center across all spans, tighter (16 to 18 inches) on long horizontal runs that bear more weight when full of water. Spike-and-ferrule and old-style nail hangers don't hold long-term and we don't use them.

Proper pitch toward downspouts

Quarter inch of drop per 10 feet of run, sloping toward the downspouts. Without proper pitch, water pools in the gutter, attracts debris, and overflows in heavy rain.

3x4 oversized downspouts

Standard residential downspouts are 2x3. We upgrade to 3x4 as standard because the larger cross-section moves twice the water and clogs roughly 75% less often.

Sealed corners with high-quality gutter sealant

Mitered corners get a butyl-based gutter sealant that flexes with thermal movement instead of cheap silicone that hardens and cracks within a few years.

Properly directed splash blocks or buried discharge

Downspouts need to discharge at least 6 feet from the foundation, ideally with buried 4-inch corrugated drain pipe daylighting downhill. We can install the buried discharge as part of the project.

5-Inch vs. 6-Inch K-Style Gutters

5-inch is standard residential

Handles most single-story and modest two-story Cobb County homes with normal roof catchment area.

6-inch for steep roofs and large catchment

Steep roofs throw water off harder. Larger gutters catch more water before it overshoots. Big two-story or three-story homes with a lot of roof area pouring into a single section also benefit from 6-inch.

We size to your house, not to a default. The walk-through includes a recommendation specific to your roof.
