Shingle repair should protect the roof, not just cover the gap.
Replacing a missing shingle sounds simple, but the surrounding tabs, underlayment, nail holes, ridge cap, and seal strips need attention. A rushed patch can leave exposed fasteners or weak tabs that fail again.
Woodstock roofs see wind, tree debris, and shaded moisture, so localized shingle wear can show up before the full roof is ready for replacement.
When shingle repair makes sense
Shingle repair is practical when the rest of the roof has flexibility, granules, and useful life left. It is less practical when the roof is brittle, losing granules broadly, or failing in several areas.
Storm documentation
If wind or hail caused the shingle damage, photos help document the condition before repairs begin. We separate storm-related damage from normal wear as clearly as possible.
