Gutter guards only work when the system underneath works.
Gutter guards are often sold as a universal fix. They are not. A guard on a poorly sloped, undersized, or damaged gutter can make the problem harder to see without solving overflow.
In Woodstock, guards can make sense for wooded lots, especially where leaves and pine straw clog outlets quickly. The right choice depends on the roof pitch, gutter condition, and debris load.
What we check before installation
We review gutter slope, hangers, corners, outlets, downspouts, roof pitch, valley dump points, fascia condition, and the type of debris the home receives.
Maintenance still matters
Quality guards reduce cleaning, but they do not make a home maintenance-free. Some debris may still need to be brushed off or cleared from roof valleys and upper surfaces.
